Tips
Sit on the tree-stump, take the staff to the altar, climb it and touch the plaque
with the staff. Then go down twice, along the passage and up. Get all and rub the
orb. Go south till you can go no further then drink the potion - after that you're
on your own.

(Start inside your quaint dwelling), EXAMINE CUPBOARD (discover a sliding drawer), OPEN DRAWER, LOOK IN DRAWER, GET CLOAK OUT OF DRAWER, EXAMINE CLOAK, WEAR CLOAK, LOOK IN DRAWER (see a skeleton key but leave it as it is of no use), OPEN DOOR, E (garden), GET STONE, EXAMINE STONE, N (shed where there is a buzzing fly), GET FLY, EXAMINE WEB (empty), PUT FLY IN WEB (a big spider takes it and leaves something in the web), EXAMINE WEB (see a tiny golden key but leave it – another red herring), S, E (pathway through the forest), E (deep in forest), WAIT (a bear leaps out from behind a bush), THROW STONE AT BEAR, GET BEAR, E (west side of bridge where you meet Limring the Elf), EXAMINE LIMRING, CROSS BRIDGE (he wants the carcass), GIVE CARCASS TO LIMRING (he throws it into the river below and is gone), CROSS BRIDGE, E (east side of bridge), E (cliff face), EXAMINE BUSH, PICK BAY LEAF, LOOK BEHIND BUSH (see a small cavity), CRAWL THROUGH CAVITY (your cloak protects you from the heat).

NE (rugged terrain), E, E (high pass), SE, SE, SE (to where a wide unjumpable chasm severs the path), SHOUT LOUDLY (suddenly a mass of stones crash down the mountainside and fill the chasm), S, S, SE (somewhere in the mountains), S (grassy clearing), SW, S (river bank where you see the werewolf), BLOW WHISTLE (it howls and bolts off into the undergrowth), GET ON RAFT, EXAMINE RAFT (tied up), UNHOOK ROPE (the raft drifts from its moorings and is drawn into the swift flow of the river), WAIT (until you are well down the river), WAIT (until you enter a huge valley of cliffs and mountains), WAIT (until you reach grass covered hills and the river is becoming swifter), WAIT (until the river becomes a noisy torrent), WAIT (until once again the sounds of music and laughter can be heard), WAIT (until you come around a bend and see a huge stone city), WAIT (until you are several feet from a large door), JUMP ONTO DOCK (you are engulfed by hundreds of people who are rejoicing at your return to the great city).
